CRISPY CHICKEN STRIPS

Crispy Chicken Strips

🧂 Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs (700 g) chicken tenders or boneless chicken breasts, cut into strips

  • 1 cup (125 g) all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • 2 tablespoons milk or buttermilk

  • 2 cups (about 100 g) panko breadcrumbs (or crushed cornflakes for extra crunch)

  • Oil for frying (if deep or pan-frying)


🍴 Instructions

🔥 Fried Version (Classic & Super Crispy)

  1. Prepare breading stations:

    • Bowl 1: Flour + salt + pepper + paprika + garlic powder.

    • Bowl 2: Eggs + milk (whisked).

    • Bowl 3: Panko breadcrumbs.

  2. Coat the chicken:

    • Dredge each strip in seasoned flour.

    • Dip in egg mixture.

    • Roll in panko until fully coated.

  3. Fry:
    Heat oil (about 1 inch deep) in a large skillet to 350°F (175°C).
    Fry chicken in batches for 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through (165°F internal temp).
    Drain on paper towels.


🔥 Oven-Baked Version (Healthier but Still Crispy)

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment and lightly oil or spray it.

  3. Arrange breaded chicken strips in a single layer.

  4. Spray tops with oil for crispiness.

  5. Bake 18–20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and cooked through.


🔥 Air Fryer Version

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Arrange strips in a single layer (work in batches).

  3. Air fry 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
